Meet Our Team

Dr. David Lechelt

Dr. Lechelt has been an Emergency Physician for 23 years and 20 of those years has been in Drayton Valley, AB. He has worked in the cosmetic injectables industry for 18 years specializing in advanced treatment with neuromodulators in all areas of the face and neck. Not only has he trained in the use of these treatments for cosmetic purposes but also for medical treatments such as migraine, hyperhidrois and masseter/TMJ dysfunction. He is an advanced medical injector for fillers in all areas of the face and neck. He more recently trained in injecting Deoxycholic Acid to dissolve stubborn submental fat (double chin). When not working in the Drayton Valley Emergency Department or at Your Intrinsic Element, Dr. Lechelt serves as a medical director at Crave Beauty Lab in Spruce Grove. His role as medical director requires continuous education on new techniques and skills and the knowledge of new products. He oversees injectors to ensure that standards of practice are being upheld and there is no risk to clients. His years of experience is crucial in getting the best results for his clients.

Kristen Snow, Registered Nurse

Kristen has been a registered nurse for 19 years, 15 of those have been in Drayton Valley. Kristen specializes in Emergency Nursing and has a background in Oncology Nursing. Not only has she been a small business owner in the beauty industry, she has trained in Vancouver at the world renowned PTIF, is a certified micro-needling and laser technician. She is currently training in the science of advanced nutrition. Kristen works alongside Dr. Lechelt during cosmetic injectables, provides laser consultations and services and IV hydration and vitamin infusions.

Our Services

Neuromodulators

Neuromodulators are essentially "wrinkle relaxants". This treatment works directly on the nerves that make our muscles contract. Muscle contraction causes repeated movement of the face causing wrinkles. What is the best way to prevent wrinkles? Stopping the action that creates them with neuromodulators! We also recommend you wear sunscreen, eat healthy and stay hydrated! We use a number of products called Botox, Dysport and Xeomin and can also treat medical conditions such as migraine headaches and TMJ/masseter muscle dysfuntion.

Dermal Fillers

Filler is made up of Hyaluronic Acid and is used to restore volume loss, correct asymmetry and to provide definition. Hyaluronic Acid is found naturally in our body's tissues and fluids. Fillers help reduce signs of aging by smoothing lines and wrinkles, minimizing acne scars, enhancing the lips and addressing volume loss. Dermal fillers are popular for medical cosmetic treatments as they are minimally invasive and provide uplifting results without surgery.

Deoxycholic Acid

Deoxycholic Acid is a substance which breaks down fat and is used specifically to permanently reduce the appearance of submental fat (double chin). It's a non-surgical alternative that requires no incisions and has minimal downtime. After the minimum required treatments there is a noticeable reduction in fullness under the chin and an improved profile.

Fractional Skin Resurfacing

Fractional skin resurfacing (FSR) is used worldwide for the treatment of sun-damaged skin, reduction of hyperpigmentation, improvement of skin texture, decreasing the appearance of wrinkles and the treatment of acne scars. It is designed to treat those body areas that are frequently exposed to the sun: face, neck, décolleté, hands and any area susceptible to acne scarring. Results can be seen as quickly as one week with a continuous improvement up to three months. You will be able to book for this treatment starting July 1, 2023 with Kristen.

Platelet Rich Plasma Injections (PRP)

Platelet-rich plasma injections are a minimally invasive treatment that uses a patient's own blood to promote healing. PRP injections are used to treat a variety of skin conditions and hair loss. A blood sample is drawn from the patient and it is spun down in a centrifuge to seperate the platelets from other blood components. The platelets are concentrated in the plasma. It is then injected into the areas we are trying to treat. Down time is minimal for natural skin and hair rejuvenation.
